The Morrison Coalition Government handed down their federal budget on the evening of Tuesday, 11 May 2021.
The Hon David Basham MP, Member for Finniss stated, “I was delighted that the Southern Fleurieu Health Service have received an additional $5.1 million in the federal budget.”
“This investment has been made to provide further capital investment for renal services and is in addition to the already $8.4 million from the Morrison Coalition Government and $2 million from the Marshall Liberal State Government.”
“The electorate of Finniss and the Fleurieu area contains one of the highest aged communities in the country but also needs to cater for a fluctuating population.”
“I am pleased that the residents and visitors to the Fleurieu Peninsula will have access to an up-to-date regional health service providing renal services and an improved Emergency Department.”
